Porto Antico

IT: Il Porto antico è una parte del porto di Genova attualmente adibita a quartiere abitativo, centro turistico, culturale e di servizi divisa in due aree date in concessione dal demanio alle società Porto Antico di Genova S.p.A. e Marina Porto Antico S.p.A. ed un'area gestita direttamente dal Comune di Genova.

Il suo riadattamento è stato portato a termine nei primi anni novanta sulla superficie di quello che un tempo era il cuore dell'attività portuale - regno dei camalli che facevano parte della Compagnia dei Caravana - e che era rimasto da molti decenni di fatto inutilizzato.

Porto Antico it's a lovely area where you can go for a walk at sundown, for movies, clubbing, icecream, shop, etc. YES, it has everything. 

The Porto Antico area is always full of surprises and you can visit so many! For example part of the ancient port buildings were renovated into a Shopping Center, with restaurants, shops, cinema. In the center area of the port Il Bigo captures the attention with it's strange structure. 

Near the Bigo you can climb on a panoramic elevator and enjoy the port's view. Other shops are found in the area. And of course the famous Acquarium!

Among all the attractions for kids there is the La cità dei bambini and a small amusement park.
