How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

5 months. 1800ch.

What is the student lifestyle like in Zurich?

Most students are not so open and close to themselves and known friends most times. Difficult to make friends.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Zurich to other students?

I will recommend the University and the city to students because the teaching methodology and style is excellent as compared to other Uni and apart from students being close to themselves, students open up and become nice when you make the first approach.

What is the food like?

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Zurich?

Eventhough accommodation is quite expensive I was lucky to find a moderate one.

How much does it cost to live in Zurich?

It depends on one's living standards and style but generally, standard of living is high. At least 100ch per week is normal.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

The German language is quite difficult but with constant learning and frequent practice, one can survive. I was lucky to have a german course as part of my program at the university.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Zurich from your city?

By bus... Flix is always economical!

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Zurich?

Langstrasse... the street of good cultural diversity. Lots of pubs and clubs!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Zurich?

Yala Habibi and Ararat at Lochegut. But also Lily's place.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

  • The National Museum
  • The old city

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Zurich in the future?

Must be financially prepared because Zurich is very expensive. From accommodation, transport to food which are basic necessities!
