What's life like in Ziguinchor? Would you recommend the city?
It's a simple city, I loved living there because the people are nice and very simplistic. Yes I'd strongly recommend it.
What's the student life like in Ziguinchor?
Well the atmosphere is something else. Students love to party and they do it well but they don't forget to study either.
What is the cost of living in Ziguinchor?
Life isn't expensive there, especially seeing as it's a small town. Plus, it's a region with rich vegetation and so you can get local products at low prices.
Is it hard to find housing in Ziguinchor? Any advice to give?
No it's not hard, especially in the newer cities. In Goumel, for example, where there are lots of students.
How is the food? What are your favourites?
We loved eating the food there, there's some great food and fortunately we found a lot of it.
Personally I love the chicken and rice, Pork Caldo and Mafé , a Malian dish that you can also find in Ziguinchor.
What are the "must-visit" spots in Ziguinchor?
There are a lot of tourist sites but you have to go to Cap Skirring, Carabane Island and Kafountine. These places are fantastic.
And for eating out in Ziguinchor? Could you tell us some of your favourite places?
"Hôtel Kadiandoumagne", "Hotel Nema Kadior", "Le Tamarinier" or "Chez Karim"
What's the night life like in Ziguinchor? Where is best to go?
CIA night club, Bombonlong and "le Rubis" are really cool spots if you want to dance.
What advice would you give to any students who will be heading to Ziguinchor in the future?
Well, it's a beautiful city that I'm really proud of. The people are really welcoming there and they put you at ease, so no need to worry.
