What are the reasons that pushed you to choose to go to Zielona Gora, Poland?

Source

The main is reason is because Poland is a cheap country. In my home university, there was only one partnership in Poland with the city of Zielona Gora.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Actually is cheap, I don't know like 600 zl per month maybe. It means 150 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Zielona Gora?

Zielona Gora, is a small city and all the students living other cities. So it means Dormitories and student houses are full. But in weekends you have to do some other plans because in weekends this city like a ghost city. After 7 you can hardly see some people outside. But you have to know where you will go after 7. I will come that subject in next questions maybe

Would you recommend the city and the University of Zielona Gora to other students?

I recommend of course!

What is the food like in Poland?

Food is good, you have to taste the traditional Polish food. Indeed there is a large choice of soups, deserts, and other delicious dishes like pierogis

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Zielona Gora?

No, like I said Zielona Gora is small city I walked to my accommodation.

How much does it cost to live in Zielona Gora?

Food+ accommodation+ alcohol: Around 300 euros per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

As everyone knows, Polish language is really hard. There is some Polish lessons in the university. If you want to learn polish or have deeper knowledge with this language you can attend this classes.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Zielona Gora from your city?

Its depends where you live. But if you have chance you can come Poznan with plane and after one bus you will be in Zielona Gora or you can take a train from Poznan to Zielona Gora.

The second best option first you can come Berlin and with changing 2 train you will be in Zielona Gora

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Zielona Gora?

Its depends. I am not a party freak but I attended a lot of parties here. But I like the pubs where you can drink something and have a beautiful conversation with someone.

If you want a big party you can go to X-demon but I don't recommend this place, I don't like it.

And all Mondays in U Ojca (really near to Rzepicha dormitory) they have party, I can recommend this place to you.

But if you want to listen good jazz music go Jazzkino anytime you want or Warka ( it is the name of a bier), they have karaoke night. Also you can go in 4 róże dla Lucienne a beautiful place.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Zielona Gora?

Near to campus B they have a "Polski Kitchen" you will see a small shanty. İt's really cheap and delicious.

And in centrum Sphinx is really famous in Poland but is little expensive. And Da grasso Pizza, this are the best options.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Zielona Gora in the future?

Yes, I have! Try to learn polish because to communicate with people it is easier. Indeed a lot of people here don't speak English at all ( especially old persons. Don't feel bad about it you can communicate anyway. If you want small city and big parties pick this city for sure.

And live in the Rzepicha dormitory, its little mess but you will become live like hippies. You will be free all the time. I think that's all.

One more advice about travels, you will have big discount with you student card, for numerous activities : for the swimming pool, in some restaurants, for the cultural life theater and opera or museum and also for your with transports (51% discount for train's tickets for example). Then think to travel by train because it is quite cheap and more confortable than bus (Flixbus are also cheap).
