What is it like to live in Zagreb? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Zagreb is a very interesting city with really beautiful buildings and a lot of nice and friendly people.It is young, and very modern city, full of life and I would definitely recommend it!

What is the student lifestyle like in Zagreb?

As I said, Zagreb is full of life and full of young people! I think for the students Zagreb is a very common city.

How much does it cost to live in Zagreb?

About 600€ (max. )

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Zagreb? Is there any advice you can give?

No. The best solution are student halls of residence or find some flat in a suburb.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Each region of Croatia has its own cuisine, which all have one thing in common – fresh ingredients! Try: peka, a black risotto, brodet with soft polenta, cevapi, pršut. The Croatian version of prosciutto kulen, octopus, pancakes, fritule (donuts), croatian wines, etc.

What places would you recommend visiting in Zagreb?

Upper Town, Tkalciceva street, Maksimir Park, Museum of broken relationships, St. Mark's church, Cathedral of the Assumption, Zagreb eye, Jarun lake, Bundek lake, lower town, Jelacic square, Kamenita vrata, Mimara museum, etc.

Is it good to eat out in Zagreb? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

"Torte i to", "Green Point", "Kava tava", "Mekper's", "Vincek", "Milky whey", etc.

Is the nightlife good in Zagreb? Where is good to go?

The nightlife in Zagreb is pretty good. It depends of the type of music, you can find all the information on Facebook or on the Internet.

What advice would you give future students heading to Zagreb?

Think twice! Once you visit Zagreb, you could fall in love and never want to leave.
