What is it like to live in Zagreb? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Well, it is good, taking into account economic situation in Croatia. Zagreb is one of the Central European towns that illustrates both the continental and Mediterranean.

What is the student lifestyle like in Zagreb?

Student lifestyle in Zagreb is quite dynamic. There is always something happening which can be easily seen on the Jelacic square (main square) where cultural events, performances and fairs are constantly held.

How much does it cost to live in Zagreb?

Monthly expenses are about 500 euro.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Zagreb? Is there any advice you can give?

It isn't difficult to find accommodation in Zagreb.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Croatian cuisine is based on meat in continental part and use of greater quantities of salt and onion is quite common. Also, in Zagreb you can eat fish and seafood from Adriatic Sea.

Is it good to eat out in Zagreb? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are various restaurants in Zagreb - traditional Croatian, Japanese, Indian, Italian, Turkish, vegan&vegeterian, etc. I am vegetarian, so I can only recommend bio-bistro Zrno in Meduliceva street.

Is the nightlife good in Zagreb? Where is good to go?

It is good enough. In Upper Town you can go in one of bars in Tkalciceva street.

What advice would you give future students heading to Zagreb?

Bureaucracy in Croatia is slow and less effective than elsewhere, so patience is sometimes necessary. Other than that, enjoy and have fun! Zagreb offers a lot.
