What is it like to live in Zagreb? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is wonderful to live in Zagreb. There are always a lot of events happening in the city centre and I would recommend it to everyone. It is great for partying and amusing, but it has also an important culture. Everyone can find something.

What is the student lifestyle like in Zagreb?

It very depends on what you are studying because some faculties are more challenging than others, but when you have some free time you should definitely go to one of the student parties in the town. The students here love to party a lot and enjoy the student life. And all the students here are going almost everyday to the cafe, thats not so in other European cities, but the cafes here are always full.

How much does it cost to live in Zagreb?

Some things are very cheap, some others not, but in average it is way cheaper than the most of European main cities.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Zagreb? Is there any advice you can give?

I am not so sure for apartments but there are a lot of new and modern homes for students opened last year. They are very cheap and in a very good condition (watch out Studentski dom Stjepan Radic and Studentski dom Cvjetno naselje), but if you are looking for an apartment it shouldn't be expensive either.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Not only Zagreb, but also the whole Croatia is very famous for its food, especially meat and chocolate. There are a lot of restaurants, mainly in the centre, so you can try out some delicious Croatian food there.

What places would you recommend visiting in Zagreb?

Definitely every famous tourist attraction you can find information on the tourism site. I would also recommend to visit observatory deck on Jelačić square, the view is wonderful at night.

Is it good to eat out in Zagreb? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, it is. There are a lot of restaurants where you can get some good food and that are good for a student's pocket. Watch out this website.

Is the nightlife good in Zagreb? Where is good to go?

Yes it is, there are a lot of clubs with international music where the most of tourists go but also Croatian. The best clubs with techno and pop is Opera and Johann Franck (near Jelačić square) and a lot of clubs that are around Jarun lake.
