Xalapa is a beautiful city, plenty of cultural activities, vegetation, and a romantic weather. The city is known as The City of Flowers because wherever you look, you'll find green. The city is very close to some beaches, an hour from them and 4 hours far from Mexico City.

What is the student lifestyle like in Xalapa?

Xalapa is plenty of students because there it is based a well known university, Universidad Veracruzana. Therefore, is a city with a high % of young population.

How much does it cost to live in Xalapa?

Is not so expensive, you could find a room for 147 USD monthly. A full meal (a cheap one) costs 3. 8 USD and the beers 1. 5 USD. An expensive restaurant 25 USD per person.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Xalapa? Is there any advice you can give?

Because is a student city, there are many rooms an apartments for rent always.

it's great to eat out in Xalapa, I could recommend you Il Postodoro, Hosteria Candelas, Finca Andrade, Asadero Cien, El Campanario.
