What is it like to live in Wuppertal? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city is divided into several parts. The coolest one would be the Ölberg and the Lusienviertel. They are relatively close the university. Luisenviert is also a good place for bars and dates. The Schwebebahn is absolutely genius and fast, the zoo is really nice.

It is one of the cheapest places to study and rent in Germany. I think you can live with 500Euro a month.

Is the nightlife good in Wuppertal? Where is good to go?

I can recommend the Hutmacher as a nice place for dates, day and night. The Luisenviertel has got several bars where you meet people and often get invited to parties that people have in their flats.
