Chapter 2

I think I messed up the way I started this whole jorney here, but from now I will describe to you my daily erasmus experience in this blog.

So, I left you (whoever is reading this) in my arrival at the dorms on Chapter 1, well I wish I could tell you that I settle myself there and started my erasmus in the campus right away, but that's not exacly what happened.

I travelled with a "friend" to the city who kind of convinced me to rent an apartment in there instead of being in the dorms. For the first 2 days in SGGW, the dorms to me, were wonderful and I didn't want to leave. I was staying in a dorm called Hilton, I think there were 8 different dormitories. During my second night I met a lot of people in a club inside the university campus, but by this point my "friend" was getting impatient and she already started to send emails to different places about a place to stay. The thing was that I also didn't want to leave my "friend" alone so on the second day of being in Warsaw so we packed up again and left the dorms. What a shame...

We went to an apartment 35 minutes from the university by buss! It was close to the Vistula river on a 15th floor building and the rent was so expensive, it literally cost me 1/3 of my scholarship. Anyways, as soon as I signed the papers I knew I wasn't going to like living there and I regretted that choice so much and I still do actually... The hate just kept pilling up, because the building was a total mess and our room was junk, if not a really bad word that you all know. For the rest of my stay in Warsaw my mind rejected the idea of calling that house, my home.

What I'm trying to say here, is for anyone who's reluctant about renting an apartment because you're too affraid, or because you feel like you won't have enough privacy...don't do it. Erasmus is all about new experiences and meeting new people. You will have plenty of time to be independent and have your private space, but for now enjoy your life as a student because that my friends won't last.

Here's some pictures about a social gathering I went in my second night in SGGW where I met this really cool french dude who I entitle for some reason "Napoleon", life at night in Warsaw, a monument to the polish engineers during WW2 and the hateful building I neglected called home for 5 months.

See you soon, if you want to read some more!
