Krakow trip - part 2
Chapter 5 - part 2
Last time we left at the end of the excursion to the ancient salt mine, after that we went back to the bus and started to head to the center of the city of Krakow, where our hostel was. At first when we left the bus, at night, I coudn't see much of the city since the bus left us in the middle of "nowhere", we walked for some minutes to the square and finally found the hostel we were supposed to stay. At the check-in the ESN in order to make the group a little more united assigned rooms to people randomly, a lot of people got in rooms where they didn't know anyone, I was lucky enough to stay with my greek friends Gianis and Miron plus one greek girl and this french dude. That night I was so tired I took a quick shower, went to bed and slept like a baby.
The next day we had some tours around the city, we checked the historical landmarks, the remnants of the fortified wall and the hilltop castle that still stood there, it was an impressive view actually, there is so much history surronding this city. After walking around for a few hours we got some free time to check things by oursefls, so we went to find a nice place to eat and relax. I don't know where the rest of the group went, since we got separated at some point, but me, my "friend" and the two french dudes sticked together and we ended up eating a burguer inside this old bus with two floors, it was awesome.
We checked the city for a few more moments, but then me and one of the french dudes left because we were tired and wanted to get some sleep before the "big night" (we knew it was going to be a wild one, for sure). I think we slept for maybe two hours before people started showing up and making noise to wake us up, suddenly I found myself with the room full of people. We started discussing what to do for easter break, maybe go on a trip to another country or maybe stay in Warsaw and discover the place a little better. At some point me and the two greek girls started to discuss about going to Prague for the hollidays, the more we talked about it, the better it seamed. I don't know why they suddenly wanted to go somewhere with me, but I'm really glad they did. Naturally my "friend" wasn't too happy about these plans we were making, but more on that later. Ahaha
Finally, it was dark! Me and the guys went to the local liquor store to buy some booze, and by some I mean a lot! I swear to everything I love in this planet that before I went to Warsaw I only got drunk once, during a university party, that was it. After Krakow I "fell in love" with being drunk. The moment had arrived, at last, the most awesome party I have ever attended, the Tram party. I wasn't too drunk, indeed I was sober up because we couldn't bring our drinks inside, but nevertheless it was a phenomenal party. It was a really tight place, and the tram was moving which made movement a little tricky, I remember walking around the place with this strange wig all of us, portuguese guys, bought together. It was so funny seing people's reactions to that :D
Wow, this is getting way to long already! Okay people, I will end part 2 here, I hope you've enjoyed reading so far as much as I have enjoyed writting this. It really helps with my post-erasmus depression, anyways, thank you for your time and I hope you'll continue following my "crazy" adventures during my Erasmus. Here's some photos of the Tram party and the city.
Peace out!
