Chapter 8 - Prague

On our way to the bus station we got a little bit lost, like always, plus it was at night, a really cold night. All I wanted to do was get inside the bus and try to sleep a little, I wasn't feeling very well, maybe the sickness didn't entirely go away or maybe I was just tired. It had been a really exhausting week and there was alot more to come during this new one. The bus trip from Warsaw to Prague took around nine or ten hours I think, yeah it was big, I would have prefered to have spent a litte more money and go by plain, but I wasn't the one organizing any of that so I kept my mouth shut, it would have been insensitive of me to speak up now. The bus was not confortable and I was sharing it with this huge fat guy who occupied much of his seat and mine, that's all I'm gona tell you about those nine hours of my life spent in that bus, worst road trip ever! Oh well, let's move on from this really boring and painfull trip and go directly to Prague. If I though Brussels had alot of art, I hadn't seen anything yet, Prague was full of it. Masterpieces as well and everywhere you could look there were signs of excelent craftsmanship in these pieces of history sculpted in every building you could lay your eyes.

The churches or cathedrals were beautiful, I'm not a religious man, more like a science guy that tries to avoid the "work" of God in his life, but those religious buildings really had something majestic and holly about them, something that can't be explained into words alone. I regret not entering into one of these churches, I wanted to see if the inside was like the outside, maybe next time I'm in Prague I'll take some time to do the things I didn't get the opportunity to do. The hostel we stayed in was near the center of the city and it was pretty cozy, if I'm not mistaken I think us three were sharing the room with five or six more people. We took some time during the middle of day to rest up in the beds a little bit before adventuring into the night, during the time I was away from my friends back in Poland I would send them voice messages and pictures of what we were doing in our trip to make them jealous (ahaha not true :D) and to make them miss me, because I sure missed them alot.

We would spend a few days in Prague and move on to our next destination, I think Prague was the longest stay of all the three cities we were in. Unfortunatelly for us, we got a spanish group in our dorm that woudn't shut up the entire night, it's a hostel I get it, but come on now, be mindfull one the people surronding you, they would leave the lights on and make noise for hours. I don't hate spanish people not even close if that's what you're thinking, I just hated that particular group of people, because in the two or three nights they were there I didn't slept much and I LOVE SLEEPING. Anyways we checked the surrondings and got to know a few clubs and restaurants in the area. There was this one club that was really cool, I think it was called the "Ice club" or whatever, I think the temperature was minus fifteen degress inside and everything in there was made of ice even the balcony and our glasses containing the drinks. It was really cool.

We tried one restaurant to see how to local gastronomy was, but in the end we mostly made our meals in either Subway or Macdonald's, they were more cheap satisfying, but not tasty. One thing that I found out was this local delicacy, a bread or some short of bread where they would put Nutella inside, I had one of those in Krakow, but I never found any places selling them in Warsaw, these sweets must be natural of Prague or the country itself either way please try them if you ever go there they will blow your mind...in a good way! :p

Truth be told Prague was beautiful, but you could also see alot of poverty, there must have been homeless people in every corner we took, seeing them really broke my heart, but I couldn't do anything to help them unfortunately. Still, every country must have its own levels of poverty, I'm just a little farmer from the middle of nowhere so I wasn't used to this at all, not even in Warsaw you could see much homeless people begging in the streets, it's not too comum there.

We walked so much everyday that my heath at one point started to get worse, I got constipated and couldn't stop sneazzing and the medicine I had was almost finished, actually I think I finished the meds during the second day in Prague. Naturally, with my body the way it was I would run out of energy sooner then the other two people who were with me and alot of times I would tell them that I would just go rest up in the hostel for a little while, I was in the limit. In any case, even with my health gone to shit (pardon the language) and lack of sleep because of some inconsiderate people I still had alot of fun and would everything again, with the exception of the bus rides. I would take the plane instead, anyways at the end of the third day we packed up, again, and moved out to city number two! Bratislava, Slovakia.

Thank you again for reading and keeping up. I love you all, peace out! :D
