A new journey - part 3
Chapter 7 - part 3
Once more, we woke up late, like midday again and I found myself being awaken by a girl who was taken pictures of herself and me while I was sleeping sending them to her greek friend on the other room. Awesome! Naturally, after waking up, the girls took even more time to get ready, since you know...they are girls. For me a quick shower was enough (I'm a simple, yet stupid guy), but for them the make up and fixing their hair thing was a priority before they left the apartment, the princesses had to be beautiful before stepping into the streets of Brussels. Ahaha :D
For our third day in Brussels we had planned to go to the Atomium, which is like a science museum built in the form of an atom and to the Mini-Europe which was right beside the Atomium, those places were great, I'm kind of sad that I didn't took too many pictures of some of the expositions inside the Atomium, but my memories of that place will stay wit me forever, we climbed all the way to the top, I think the elevators or stairs only reached a certain point. After spending almost two hours inside, since we paid around 25 euros to see the place, we left and went to Mini-Europe. It was so much fun to see all the capitals of each country represented in miniature, too bad the capital of Portugal, Lisbon was represented so poorly. Here's some pictures of our group inside the Atomium and having fun in Mini-Europe with the Eiffel Tower as a background.
We took the time to take a walk around that place and managed to find these little restaurants that simbolized countries from all the European Union, too bad the portuguese restaurant was close. That's normal for portuguese people, they never want to work, lazy people! Ahah, this is a joke of course, we work hard, we just don't get paid enough for what we do! :)
In any case, we managed to find this mexican restaurant that had a really good vibe, so we walked in. There was this guy outside playing mexican songs in a sombrero, while we waited for our food to come (mexican food, of course) the guy was just walking back and forth with his guitar playing songs and cheering up the place. He even gave some musical instruments for us to play with him, it was really cool and a different, but unique experience. Mexican food was delicious, I was actually jealous of my roommate because she ordered like this huge plate with all sorts of mexican delicacies and that was alot of food, I think I had tacos or tortilha, it was this small thing which didn't satisfy my hunger, good thing we had waffles later!
I honestly don't remember much about what we did on this day, since my memories are all kind of mixed up at this point, but on the end of the day I know for sure that we ended up in this park that had alot of monuments with these huge arcs and a statue of what it seemed like a chariot on top. Amazing art work, if you ask me. We spent some time in this taking some photos of the place and checking out it's surrondings.
I wanted to explore a little more of the park, but it was getting dark and if I'm beeing honest there was no more places to see, besides these old pieces of artillery close to what it seemed like a museum. I was rubbing my hands all around those old guns, yeah...I love war stuff, sorry for having wierd tastes. During the night we went to this bar to relax a bit and drink some alcohol, of course for me that was out of the question, since I was on heavy antibiotics because of my flue or sickness or whatever I got back in Warsaw. The people in Brussels are really nice and helpfull, I mean everyone talked good english, unlike Warsaw, so we never worried too much about directions or needing to get back home. Once we got back to the apartment I went to the bed and slept immediately, almost didn't even noticed the greek girl comming in the bed.
This part is little bit shorter, but I really don't know what else to tell you about this day, since my memory ain't that good to begin with. In any case, I hope you've enjoyed this short chapter, I promise the next one to be better! Peace out.
P.S - Here's a picture of us messing around the apartment for your entertainment :D
