Chapter 7 - part 2

Amazingly the couch wasn't as confortable as I was expecting, my neck and my back were all sore from sleeping there, but I didn't mind that too much, because in the end I was having a lot of fun. In any case, we slept the entire morning, I think it was around midday that we left the apartment and started to be more adventurous in the city, one of the things we immediately noticed was the amount of securitiy in the capital, there were army guys everywhere and heavily armed as well. Well, after everything that happened and was happening at the time with ISIS and everything, you coudn't really blame their government or military for being a "little" cautious. It actually made me feel a lot more secured, knowing that there was a big military presence in the city.

In any case, after getting ourselfs lost for some time we finally arrived at this big square and it was AMAZING! The art was beautiful, it looked like something from the medieval age, it also had this Gotic style to it that fitted really well with the rest of the combined art that surronded the buildings in the square. Naturally we spent almost half an hour just taking selfies of each other with the buidings in the background, it was a really fun time. I'm not a huge art fan, not even close, but I had to study some art history during my stay in the university so at least I can identiy some aspects of it and appreciate the work and dedication it took to build such beautiful "monstrosities". We paid about six euros, I think, to go inside this art museum in one of the buildings in the square, it had all kinds of statues and paitings from different centuries, it even had this little model of Brussels from the fourteenth and eighteenth centuries, the differences were enormous, like the city itself.

Well, the thing with museums is that you can really spend hours glaring at things from the past, thinking about it deeply and in an emotional level, or get really tired and bored of it in no time. I liked it, but spending one or one and a half hours of my life in that place was enough for me, and I'm guessing for the girls as well, since we all had these faces of "That's enough, let's go people". My worst nightmare came next, after all the fun we four were having (even with my cool roommate's ocasionally bitching, pardon the language), the fact was that we were having a great time...untill we went to the shops area. I forgot I was hanging out with girls for a moment there and to make matters worse they were having sort of a discount day thing going on. I must have been the only guy in this shop, THE ONLY GUY, surronded by hundreds of woman trying to buy as much as they're credit card could. We didn't spend much time there, but when these kinds of things happen time really slows down, to the point that I though we were there for two hours. NO JOKE.

I'm a simple guy, all I took from Brussels with me where a couple of joy ride thickets, a shirt and a hat saying "Brussels" or whatever, It was enough and I didn't need much more. In any case, after this sad for me, but awesome episode for ladies had happened, we got back to the apartment to rest up a little and trying to find a cool place to go out at night. I'm more of a "bar" type of guy, but the ladies were more like "disco girls" type. Ahaha I couldn't help saying that! :p

Okay, so the greek girls found this club or whatever close to the beautiful square we were in, (by the way I forgot to mention it, but the square is called "Grand - Place", look it up online it's definitely worth it), so we left the apartment once more and went to find this club which didn't take much effort. The entrance fee was about fifteen euros, which was expensive for my wallet, since they didn't use card and I had no cash on me. The girls offered to pay my entrance, but my pride spoke otherwise and I told them to go on ahead and have some fun in the club while I went to find some ATM machine to get some quick cash. Well, I walked and asked and then walked some more untill finally I found a machine and it was so far away from the square that I had to ask again for directions to get back to the club, fortunately this girl that I asked was kind enough to show me the way. What happened next was hilarious. I got inside the club, payed the fifteen euros, but I forgot to throw away this bottle of water I had with me because I needed to take my antibiotics in half an hour. The security guy came and kicked me out, didn't even gave me the chance to explain or throw the water away OR get my jacket back. Awesome people. The girls saw this and came to me asking for what happened, I explained to them and one of the greek girls was really upset and started to yell at one of the security guys outside. It was funny and cool of her to stand up for me.

I tried to tell the girls to keep having fun in the club while I took a walk around the square again, but they got sick of it and came outside. I wish I could remember the name of the club just to write it here with a big "NEVER GO TO!"

We ate together after this and got back home, this time I told the girls to do whatever they wanted because I would sleep in that bed in my boxer shorts, my back was killing me. One of them didn't mind and came anyways, the one who shouted at the security guard, it was a little bit awkward at first, but I was so tired that I fell asleep minutes later and didn't think to much about it.

Thanks again for reading, I'll finish this part here since it already got way bigger than I wanted. Have a great day, peace out!
