Weimar\'s Cultural Richness

When I was still deciding to come to Weimar I was really impressed about it's cultural richness. Every information I found about the city talks about Goethe, Schiller, Bach, Liszt as it's cultural origins. The people living in Weimar are really proud of it and they also make tourists participate. My first day in Weimar when I arrived at 5 p. m. and the residence's office was closed, I had to take a hotel. I was very suprised when at the reception of the hotel they asked me to participate with 1 euro for the culture of the city. When they talk about Weimar, they say Kulturstadt Weimar.
