Hire or buy a bike much before the semester starts

I came late again and now is very difficult to find a bike in good conditions. Make sure you don't do the same mistake as I did. When you get here, immediately search for a bike. I still have 2 weeks before the semester starts but it's impossible to find a bike to rent or buy, because the new students have arrived and the good weather reminds them that biking is a good idea. There is one place in Weimar where the same guy is the owner of a youth hostel and a bike rental office (foto above). I would probably check Jena or Erfurt, maybe I'll have more luck.
