What is it like to live in Washington? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I have been going to Washington D. C. every week for the past six years, and I honestly love it, it is like my second home. There is so much to see, so much to do, and transportation is cheap and easy due to the metro and subways located throughout the cities. The city is amazing and I definitely recommend it.

What is the student lifestyle like in Washington?

It's convenient because of easy transportation, and many libraries to study in. You never have to scramble to find things to do during the weekend because there's so many places to go and events, and all for very cheap prices.

How much does it cost to live in Washington?

You can definitely live in Washington D. C. with just a little amount of money, there is no expense you have to pay to buy a car because commuting is very easy. Since it is up North, restaurants, zoos, etc are very cheap and affordable, and all the museums are free.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Washington? Is there any advice you can give?

I personally don't know, but I'm sure there are many things you could search for using google! Washington D. C. is a very well known city, so it shouldn't be difficult to find accommodations.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Washington D. C. is an extremely cultural city with food located from every part of the world. On a single block you might find a Chinese restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a French restaurant, etc. It is a multiracial city with people who have came from different parts of the world, so dining in Washington D. C. is always an adventure!

What places would you recommend visiting in Washington?

Definitely the White House, and the "Pencil". There's so much to see and everything is free, so go exploring!

Is it good to eat out in Washington? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

They have authentic dishes from all over the world, and personally I love the French and Thai restaurants the most. The Indian restaurant are also amazing!

Is the nightlife good in Washington? Where is good to go?

There are always parties all over Washington D. C., and there's never a moment when there aren't people on the streets walking around. I can't name a specific place because there's a wide horizon of clubs, bars, and events.

What advice would you give future students heading to Washington?

Don't put a limit on your adventures in D. C... Go crazy and explore!
