What is it like to live in Viterbo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
I like to live in Viterbo, it's a small city so there are the conveniences of the city but it isn't chaotic.
What is the student lifestyle like in Viterbo?
It's very good because there isn't a big university so it is easy paying attention to the lessons, the relation between the professors and the students is good and making friends is easier than in others big universities.
How much does it cost to live in Viterbo?
Live in Viterbo is very cheap! The entrance of some locals is free and there are locals where you can pay only the drink and eat whatever you want.
The price of a room is around 130/ 200 euro!
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Viterbo? Is there any advice you can give?
No, it's very easy! There are a lot of announcements in the University and also in the refectory.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is very good and you can choose a lot of types of pasta.
What places would you recommend visiting in Viterbo?
Viterbo is an older city and so there are a lot of monuments like Pope's Palace, Santa Rosa's church and San Pellegrino (Medieval Quarter). There is a big celebration for Santa Rosa on 3rd September. There are a lot of fountains and there are baths!
Nice and interesting places near Viterbo are: Bomarzo for the Monster Park, Civita di Bagnoregio ("The dying town") and Ronciglione in the carnivals period (February or March).
Is it good to eat out in Viterbo? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Spaghetteria in center of the town, Monastero, L'Antica Taverna.
For the aperitif you can go to Chic Cafè and to Blitz. If you want to eat something in the night you can go to Baldini Pizza Notte.
Is the nightlife good in Viterbo? Where is good to go?
San Pellegrino for the night because there are a lot of pubs. There is also a bowling.
What advice would you give future students heading to Viterbo?
To go out with Italian people so it's easy learning Italian language and customs.
