Want to ski or go snowboarding in Vilnius? Liepkalnis is the answer.

During my first month in Vilnius ESN also organized an interesting event - skiing in Liepkalnis. The first time I went skiing was when I was in the 3rd or 4th grade so I was like ' why the hell not? '.

Unfortunately, we were not so many Erasmus students that went skiing, it was only a handful of people but thanks to this, it was even more fun.

Liepkalnis is an amazing place for winter sports in Vilnius. You can go on many tracks: from the ones for beginners to amateurs and pros. It sure doesn't seem that big when you down the hill, but once you go up, you see that it is truly big.

The best thing about this place is that you can also rent for 15 € for 5 hours, which is pretty amazing. The place can also be rented so if you and your friends just love winter sports and want to  be alone in that place, go for it. Or if one wants to celebrate his birthday skiing with friends and family. He or she is welcomed to do the same.

The people at Liepkalnis also teach. Yes, they even have a school if you wanna learn how to ski or go snowboarding. You can choose between group or individual lessons. The price for 50 min for an individual lesson is 25 € while a lesson for 5 or more people is only 54 €. So if you want to learn and don't want to spend that much money you can go with friends for a good deal.

Another amazing part of this place is that they do not only have winter activites, but also summer activites. During summer you can go there for climbing or tubing, summer tobbogan, bungee trampoline and more.
