Enjoy Viborg!
Who doesn't hate Mondays? That's how I ended up in a presentation where they were talking about Erasmus. Out of nowhere Denmark got stuck in my mind and my first call home announced my parents that I am going to study abroad.
Viborg, Denmark, the largest city in the region of Midtjylland, it got burn 600 years ago but it managed to rebuild itself and to carry today one place on Earth where I could return anytime. Viborg, glæd dig! (Enjoy Viborg!) This is what they say and for the seekers of calm and silence this is the place to be, but for those eager to taste fun and experience sports, running marathons, cyckling races, festivals (Vibstock) and amazing people, they might start here.
You must have heard of the handball team that Viborg is pround of, well, let me tell you that their games are a must! Art, literature and music. All these can be found from the Historical Museum, to Skovegaard museum (the famous painter of the cathedral in Viborg), from great painting galleries to The Animation Workshop (one of the famous and best-known schools of animation), from Palleten (a local concert venue with unforgettable jam sessions) to VIA University College. And this last one brings me to my study place at this university. People that I will always carry in my heart and memories that cannot be forgotten.
Why Viborg? Why Denmark? Because, inspite of the cold weather and the wind, your experience couln never be more sunny!
