What is it like to live in Vermillion? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Vermillion is a small city in South Dakota. For you who are not familiar with South Dakota it is a state close to Canada, so north part of America. Vermillion is a typical college city with several bars and many restaurants. It's usually really cold, but summers get pretty hot.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vermillion?

I loved being a student there. People are just too polite and happy to help everyone in need. The University of South Dakota is a public small university but has a lot to offer. It has some of the greatest programs and it's not super expensive.

How much does it cost to live in Vermillion?

Living in Vermillion is not that expensive. Let's say you need around 350 dollars a month to live in a two bedroom apartment and food expenses are minimal. One bad thing in Vermillion is that there are not any malls or any entertainment, but Vermillion is placed only an hour away from Sioux Falls which has a lot to offer.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Vermillion? Is there any advice you can give?

It's not hard at all. Really small city, easy to find whatever you are looking for.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I usually like to make my own food, but I do like Cafe Brule a lot and Silk Road.

What places would you recommend visiting in Vermillion?

Definitely, the Music Museum, one of the plays that students from USD prepare and of course Al Neuhart building.

Is the nightlife good in Vermillion? Where is good to go?

Since it's a college town, many bars are placed there. Everything is close by, so whatevwr bar you chose you won't make a mistake.

What advice would you give future students heading to Vermillion?

Bring a lot of warm clothes and good luck!!!
