HOW TO MAKE AN ARGUMENT TEXT. Argumentative texts are often assigned by teachers to test not only the ability of students to write and present their ideas, but also to test their degree of understanding of a text, and to manage logical reasoning. 5. Arguments in favor of the antithesis.

To discuss topics that contrast your thesis and support the antithesis, use the "contrast" technique. Break the antithesis in several points and refute them one after the other, countering the data in your favor. Logical reasoning will thus be enhanced.

6. Conclusion

Once you remove the antithesis point by point and refute the arguments against you reiterate and reconfirm your thesis, in a synthetic way, based on the strengths of the thesis itself. You could also try to expose a possible solution to the antithesis, but if it is denied altogether, it will not be necessary.
