Valencia
In this post I want to talk to you about one of the most remembered cities when it comes to thinking about Spain, and basically because of its paella. Even though its architecture is another factor to remember for nationals and foreigners but on many of my travels when talking about Spain people think about "Paella, "flamenco" and so on and so forth.
First I want to mention what means of transport we can use to arrive at this area of Spain and where it is located.
How to get there
Valencia City is the capital of the Autonomous Community of Valencia located in the Spanish Levante area, that is to say that it is washed by the Mediterranean Sea and that we have a small beach, sun, port and good climate! These reasons are plenty to make it one of the chosen places to spend the Summer and to give yourself an escape not only because of the cultural offer that it has but also because in addition it has a beach, let's say that in general it has it all and it is not as expensive as Barcelona which is found above.
In theory, getting to Valencia is not complicated given that, thanks to its excellent location, one can access it by land, sea and air. If we are in Spain and we do not find ourselves as far away as in Galicia, for example, I am going to take Murcia as a reference:
In a private car we can make a trip which will last approximately three hours, maybe less depending on the traffic that there is but normally it is quiet and you arrive before. I have done this itinerary several times and I have arrived in no more than two and a half hours. It is ideal for flights that are for Valencia since it is super close by to Murcia and you do not arrive late. Then the other option that we have is that of a shared car and it is because it is and excellent way of contributing to the environment and saving up since it can cost you between ten and thirteen euro to travel sharing a car and in addition you have the opportunity to meet fantastic people along the way.
The next option that I am going to mention is by air and it is because Valencia has a great airport which connects with the main cities of Europe and the world. This way I have been able to get connections to Boston, New York and the typical and most frequent connection to Bolonia and to Valencia-Treviso.
Valencia is well known for the famous among other things for Paella Valenciana, for being the city of Arts and Sciences, for the Fiestas de las Fallas of Valencia and its Horchata de Chufa, the same that can be savoured in Alboraya, a small town where you can arrive by taking line 3 from the Xátiva stop and being there a few minutes.
As well as that, geographically it is located between Barcelona and Murcia which makes it quite affordable.
It is a cosmopolitan city, very rich with regard to theatre and culture as well as leisure.
