Student areas to live in Valencia

Valencia is one of the most demanded cities for national and international students. There are thousands of Erasmus students who visit the city of Turia when continuing learning and delving into the study of their university career, but why? Well, the answer could lie behind its beaches, the endless possibilities that the old course of the river offers, the streets of the centre with its places to go out for drinks, or the harbour area.

But once you've chosen, you have to see which area of the city to settle into for your new home!

Benimaclet, close to the university campus

If what you're looking for is a budget area (being a student is the typical thing) that is relatively close (on a direct tram route) to the University Campuses, the best option is to search in Benimaclet. It is an area which has lots of variety of shared flats for students, with really reasonable prices for any budget. Also, if you are a footballer, the Mestalla stadium is very close to this neighbourhood of Valencia.

Avenida Blasco Ibáñez, Ramón Llull, Plaza Honduras…

The area around the University Campuses is interesting to consider for quality of life: by saving yourself time on commuting you can rest more and enjoy your stay in Valencia more. Examples of specific sites are Avenida de Ramón Llull, Plaza Honduras, Avenida de Blasco Ibañez, Plaza del Cedro etc.

Cabanyal and Malvarrosa

Another option is to live in the neighbourhood of Cabanyal, Malvarossa… They are areas with beach, so you can switch off from your studies and make the most of your stay in Valencia enjoying the sea. It is a bit out of the city centre but at a reasonable distance from the universities.

El Carmen, great atmosphere in the centre

The neighbourhood of Carmen is not often occupied by students from outside because of its central position further away from the university. But there are those who like the atmosphere and it has all sorts of shopping centres and restaurants close by.

In short, the neighbourhood or area of Valencia that you choose will depend on what you are looking for. Tell us your experience and ask us for what you want, there are many rookies like you who have the same doubts.
