How is Saint Joseph University of Beirut in general?

One of the best universities in Lebanon, the best among those following the French curriculum.

How are the locals?

The Lebanese are very welcoming :)

And the teachers?

Very knowledgeable, although most are quite old (I'm talking about the engineering faculty, that's where I was).

Is it easy to succeed at Saint Joseph University in Beirut?

Yes, still referring to the faculty of engineering, especially beginning this year, because the system has been significantly modified to obtain a European accreditation.

Does the university organize activities? If so, how are they?

The students take care of the activities and events. The annual list is generally quite busy, especially since some events have become traditions (the Christmas gala dinner, snow camp, halloween party etc. ). Each student group takes care of its own faculty but there's always coordination between them. "L'École Supérieur d'Ingénieurs de Beyrouth" (ESIB), the Faculty of Engineering, is particularly renowned for its annual "Rally Paper"(a two-day treasure hunt, in all Lebanese territories). A large number of universities, schools, scouts and organizations participate.

Do you think the courses are good?

Yes. However, still referring to the Faculty of Engineering, some courses are quite old and can be replaced by more "modern" courses.
