Extention as a exchange student

Bad news about extentions as a exchange students. 

Recently, I started asking our international student coordinator about extending my stay for another semester and apparently the University those not let you as immagration regulations do not allow. 

This took me by surprise, of course. I tried my hardest to find out the requirement about extending my stay in Canada, and even immigration let's you get the student visa within Canada, the problem was doing it within Quebec province. 

Asking for a student permit in Quebec, Canada, takes longer than normally in other provinces. So if you want to extend your program, do it before you come to Canada!

One thing I really didn't like about my University is that they were very negative about this. Instead of showing more support, they just kept saying that it was impossible without having any excuse than immigration problems. 

I was very stubborn and I went through immigration office, make phone calls and a full of research. And at the end, yea, it wasn't possible but not because of immigration, but Universities policies in Quebec! 

If you are outside Quebec, you are lucky one! But unfortunately, not us.
