Generally, what is University of Zadar like?

University of Zadar is a good university with quite a broad range of studies offered. Professors are generally nice and kind, they will help you out if you ask, and if you study, you will pass the exams. I cannot speak for all the departments, but as far as I know, it is like that in general.

What are the facilities like?

University of Zadar consists of two campus, the old one which is in the city centre, and the new one which is 20 minutes by foot from the old one. The university has a ceremonial hall, several libraries (departments of languages have their own libraries with literature and books in the language of studies: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Croatian, etc. ), a study room with computers, a copy room, a fast food student's restaurant and a big student's restaurant are next to the university, and there is a special entrance for students with disabilities, as well as an elevator.

What are the tutors like?

The tutors are generally kind and very approachable, ready to help and answer your questions. It depends from the tutor to tutor, but I never had problems with any of them.

Are the lessons easy in University of Zadar?

They are easy if you do your part of the job, that is, if you study.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

There are several activities, usually organised by different departments. On the French department, they organise Francophone days, different movie nights; Spanish department has Spanish days, etc. There are also Irish days, the Day of open doors (for future students to come and find out more about the different departments and what they would like to study), Antic days (with a performance of some part of the history - with costumes, play roles, it gets very interesting), SF Week with different workshops, Russian days, the Rhythm of Culturalism etc.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

It depends from department to department, but in general the teaching is of a very good quality.

Are there any stories you can share?

I could share a million stories but they would not fit here. What I can say is that the food in the big student's restaurant is really good and is not so expensive. As well, if you are an exchange student, professors will definitely treat you very nicely and help you out as much as they can, so you should definitely come here and enjoy University of Zadar.
