Generally, what is University of Zadar like?

It is a really nice University, situated in the center of Old Town, all classrooms looking at sea, which makes studying much more enjoyable. The building is an old monastery, and it was founded in 1396, the oldest tertiary institution in Croatia and one of the oldest in Europe.The Bologna process was implemented in 2005 an still remains the system we use.

What are the facilities like?

It depends on the courses you take. There are two buildings, one situated in Old Town and one new facility not far away. It consist of more than 20 departments, among which are 6 languages : English, Italian, German, Spanish, French and Russian.

What are the tutors like?

Tutors are mostly professional and helpful, willing to direct the students correspondingly. If you are looking for any explications or additional information, they are there to help you.

Are the lessons easy in University of Zadar?

I cannot say they are easy, but they are not too difficult either. They are in accordance with the level of education you are on.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

There are many activities, mostly related to the departments, such as the day of Italian days, Irish day, Brain days with many activities for students.

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

I do, I consider it provides a really good education and enables students with a great foundation that prepares them for their future careers.

Are there any stories you can share?

I had a lot of positive experience during 5 years at the University, meeting a lot of interesting people, somethings having difficult times, as happen to everybody. There are many stories I could tell but all in all it was a very positive and encouraging experience.
