What are the facilities like?

Facilities are being constantly modernized to meet the rising public standards. Currently, the best facilities are at the faculties of Humanities, Biology and Environmental sciences, Physics and Applied Computing, Mathematics, and Chemistry.

What are the tutors like?

Most tutors speak English very well. Generally academic staff is friendly and student-oriented. In the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Sciences, where I study, you can meet Tutors from Germany, India or Eastern Europe.

Are the lessons easy in Nicolaus Copernicus University?

The lessons difficulty may vary, however students must acquire all necessary ECTS points to pass the year. Most lectures end with final exam. However, in order to write an exam, a student must pass previous exercises test. Besides, the UMK follows the rules established by the Bologna Process.

Does the University organize activities; what are they like?

Yes. There are many scientific circles in which students may took part. Also, there are many student clubs which organize various events. One of the famous student holidays are called Juwenalia in which student wear unusual clothes related to some heroes.

Do you think the teaching is of a high quality?

It depends, who do we compare to UMK. Surely, It has higher quality of teaching than average US or British College.
