Västerbotten region is a beautiful place to visit which can offer many unique places to see and activities to do. People from here are very proud of their natural and cultural heritage. From the mountains to the coast, and from the old times to nowadays, there are lots of sights to see in Västerbotten. The main touristic regions of the Västerbotten county are the South of Lapland, the Umea region and the Umea region. The Umea region have many interesting sights to see. The culture and tradition have their main references in Ratan, home of the Harbour of Northern Sweden and place of the last battle fought on Swedish soil in 1809 between Sweden and Russia, the three bridges of Tallberg; the Museum of Norrbyskär about sawmills; and the Umea Energy Centre since 1899 Time seems to have stood still in places such as the Olofsfors Ironworks by the river Leduan since 1760s; the Holmön Boat Museum and the Västerbacken Sawmill museum.
