Västerbotten region is a beautiful place to visit which can offer many unique places to see and activities to do. People from here are very proud of their natural and cultural heritage. From the mountains to the coast, and from the old times to nowadays, there are lots of sights to see in Västerbotten. The main touristic regions of the Västerbotten county are the South of Lapland, the Skelleftea region and the Umea region. The Skelleftea region have many interesting sights to see. The nature of the mountains is presented in the world’s longest ropeway a long 13 km between Örsträsk and Mensträsk. The culture and tradition have their main references in the coast village of Bjuröklubb with long history of hunting, fishing and shipping; the Boliden Mining Museum, where the mining era in Vasterbotten started; the Finnfors Power Station Museum, the 1st one in the Skelleftea river from 1906; and the Wilderness Mine, extending over more than 180 km in Skelleftea, working between 1933 and 1946. Time seems to have stood still in places such as the 19th century farm in Rismyrliden.
