One of the better things of living in Umea as an international student, and most if you live in Alidhem, is that it seems like you are living in a really big residence. Although you have to cook your dinner (like in all the residence outside Spain) and have your own room in your flat you still have the impression that live together in the same place as the rest of students.

And it is very difficult go out on the street without meeting with a friend or new people from your country.

And many of these times, they end up inviting you to have dinner in their corridors. Sometimes you will accept greatly because you don’t want to cook, but sometimes you will be surprised by fantastic delicatessen such as home-made sushi!
