In university there are a number of student unions. I think there are 4: Bussiness, Health Sciences and Technology, environmental (SLU) and medicine. There may be some more, but you have to ask at your school. It is important that you join one of the unions.
You have to pay 170-280 sek (depends on the union you choose) and thus give you a student card. With this card you will have discounts on aircraft tickets (in SAS and Malmö Aviation), and you can enter on the student bars.
There are a number of bars in university that you can only come into with the card. These bars are free with the card! In addition you will also have discounted at the Iksu (gym) and elsewhere.
