Normal students lifestyle. when breaks come, they will enjoy sitting and eating in Losari seashore.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Ujung Pandang? Is there any advice you can give?
No, not really. they have a lot of renting rooms for students available and it cost range from €15 - €100 per month include electricity and utilities.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Variety of local food are offered with cheap price. I can not mention one by one of Makassar dishes, but the famous dishes are Coto Makassar, and Nyuk nyang. and snacks called Pisang Epe'. it is banana barbeque with durian - palm sugar mixed and pour on it.
What places would you recommend visiting in Ujung Pandang?
Losari seashore, Fort Rotterdam Museum, Kayangan Island, Public Fish Market, and other city nearby, such as Toraja, Malino, and Bulukumba.
Is it good to eat out in Ujung Pandang? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, it is good to eat out there. abundance of restaurants with cheap price. But be prepare, because a bit spicy for European people. My favorite spot is in Losari seashore.
Is the nightlife good in Ujung Pandang? Where is good to go?
They are not offering a good for nightlife there. some pubs and cafes, but a bit expensive for the drinks. Beer will cost you about €8-€10, which is expensive.
What advice would you give future students heading to Ujung Pandang?
