In a city like Alta (Norway), you have the absolute necessity to be active all the time. Nature appeals to you. However, you need enough strength and stamina to be able to face it.

At UiT there is, first of all, a gym for all the students. You can enroll in the gym for a one-month subscription and work out whenever you want. You can gain access to the school at the weekend as well, so you can basically work out every day. At the gym, there is a lot of equipment, from machines to spinning bikes and weights. It is great even when it is a gym for students plus it is not so expensive.

Furthermore, there is a sports hall at school, where you can practice team sports. You can go climbing, you can play volleyball, football, basketball, tennis... Whatever you want. Every week they plan which sport is going to be practiced each day of the following week. Everything is free, which I did not expect, for all the things you get in return.

Finally, you can also exercise outdoors, in nature, from carrying heavy backpacks to climbing all kinds of mountains. There is no excuse to not work out!
