A bit of my past experience and why I think erasmusu is fantastic
My degrees are from UI: BA, BS, MA, MD. I have always liked to travel. I started international travel when I was age 20. I didn't travel for a number of years when I was at the university. During that time I enjoyed the company of international students who studied at UI.
At age 20 I traveled to Norway with work permission. I worked for the summer months and then attended a residential cultural college referred to in Norway as a folkehoyskule. This is in southern Norway in the town of Gol. There I learned Norwegian and about the culture and literature of Norway. I have been back to visit Norway several times in the years since then.
I am now retired from my career of medicine. I love to travel and even when I am at home, I study world history and countries of the world. My favorite way to travel is with my wife but she is not as interested in other countries as much as I am so at times I must look for for travel partners and programs. That is why I am interested in Erasmus, I like to have a plan for people to associate with before I arrive in a new country.
The countries I've traveled to: Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City
