lived and studied in madrid, spain

It was difficult at the beginning. I wouldn't recommend th university but I would recommend living in Madrid for a bit. 

I made really good friends there. Mostly foreigners. The spanish people aren't the most open of people but the few spanish friends I have enjoy travelling so they have more of an open mind. 

After a year of not having any friends or life I decided to join expat groups which made it a lot easier and enjoyable. 

Moving to the city was the best move because that allowed me to be out more and more social. 

I miss my lifestyle there but I will always go back to visit. It's quite cool knowing another country so well.

Summers are unbearable though.
