Generally, what is University of Limerick like?

Personally I like the university and overall I had a good experience there. I was studying under department of Peace studies and its one of the best as I heard. I had great proffesors and very friendly tutor as well. Everyone at uni I met was really helpfull and kind and all the problems were easily sort out. For international students there is a lot of people willing to help with everything and well organise welcome introductions and talks. The Campus is nice and modern mostly and there is so many places where you can spent your free time, study or meet your fellow students. All the buildings are in one campus except the School of Management where students who study bussiness, economy, etc. have to go by bus (about 15 minutes) which is nevertheless free. 

What are the facilities like?

Classes were avarage but the library is really nice and quiet big and I always found everything I needed. Also the fitness centre, student bars or the student accomodation in Green are in very good conditions. 

What are the tutors like?

My tutor was excellent and I was satisfied with all his assistance. However, it always depends on the person and you may get a worse person.

Are the lessons easy in University of Limerick?

The university lessons are not mean to be easy. My classes were interesting and I had good lecturers, but I did not pass one of my module as I would say it was pretty difficult. But it was mainly because I couldn´t properly understand all the readings and materials we had to use and overall for foreign students it is always more difficult to study there than for english students.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

The University has incredible amount of clubs and societies so everyone can easily find something interesting for him.I joined international cooking society and Archery club for example. Also there is an international office and they organise a lot of trips and other activities, same do the student union, so you don´t have to worry how to spent your free time. 

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

Depend on course and lectures of course, mine were good quality.

Are there any stories you can share?

There were so many, but I should mention that the fire alarms were tested very often so it will probably happen few times that your class will be disturb with an annoying alarm and everyone has to leave the building.
