The public transport in Turin (Italy)

In Turin, the public transport is managed by GTT. It controls the trains, the subways and the trams. All the information are available on this website: Comune di Torino

The public transport costs 1€ and you can use it as many times as you want, but only, for 70 minutes. If you are going to stay for a long time, I strongly recommend the :

There is a 33% of discount, if you are a university student under the age of 26. If you want to take it, you have to be a student of the UNITO or the POLITO, and obtain the CODICE FISCALE.

It is possible to load your GTT subscription (valid in the city or in the urban + suburban networks) on the smart card (the one that you use for the university system) at the time of the matriculation. Thus, you will have two cards in one.

- Politecnico di Torino - corso Castelfidardo 39

After the registration at the university, the student will receive the smart card and can go to the GTT counters to pay and activate it.

You have three options:

1. GTT subscriptions for registered and university students who are not 26 years old:

- urban network € 114, 00

- urban + suburban networks € 192, 00 - If your are under 26, you can use it all the year.

2. Multi-monthly subscriptions integrated area - Formula for registered and university students who are not 26 years old:

- urban network € 103, 00

- urban + suburban networks € 170, 00

If you are under 26, you can use it from the first of September until the end of July (10 months).

3. Subscriptions for registered and university students over the age of 26:

- annual 12-months urban network in Turin € 194, 00

If you are over 26, you can use it all the year.
