Art part 1
This time I will start with a personal description, a subjective presentation of an event that has excited me more in visual and less in words; who pleased me, let's say, a lot from the visual point of view. Where art is involved, of course, there is also a man who creates emotions in shadows and gloomy colors, images and portraits of Romanian rural and natural environment.

In this town pointed on the map, Turda, happened an exhibition in a quite big room of the History Museum. The image in your mind should be like this: an old man in traditional clothes, Romanian traditional clothes, two critics - a friend of him and a local critic - and a crowd fo curious people and me...myself, my enthusiastic, impatient self!
This artist is a bright light! Thank you for all the shades you share with us.
But who is this artist? Well... his name is Gavril Nechifor and
- His works are like open windows to the public, with confidence and hope, to elements of the material and spiritual world: earth and air, spirit, heaven, and dream, but also absent, thought and anxiety.
- He graduates the Faculty of Painting at the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca and is the member of the Union of Fine Artists in Romania, the Cluj branch, is present in the artistic and cultural life of Turda in 1977.
- He has collaborated with the Union of Fine Artists, the Cluj-Napoca branch and the Sibiu branch since 1986. He is a founder of the Cultural Foundation "Rei Culturae Fautores" in Turda and the "Filarmonia" Cultural Society Cluj-Napoca.
- His creations have been exhibited in numerous personal exhibitions in Turda, Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, and are also present in more than 140 group exhibitions hosted by important art and museum art galleries in the country and abroad (Belgium, Holland, Greece).
- He was awarded the First Prize at the Republican Fine Arts Exhibition, and in 1990 he received the Honorary Prize in Amsterdam.
- His works are in museums and private collections in Romania, Italy, France, Australia, Canada, Brazil, the Netherlands, the United States. China, Portugal, etc.
