Experience in Tunis, Tunisia by Abdelkhalek
What is it like to live in Tunis? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Coming to Tunisia is a good experience... Language may be more an issue. If you don't speak neither French nor Arabic it may become difficult for you in daily life. But you can always start learning a few words to communicate.
Regarding religion, I think there is no issue. Well, it may be a little bit difficult for you to find a church if you need it. But there is also a beautiful cathedral in Tunis. No one will force you to become Muslim, of course not ! And you have the liberty to be from any religion.
How much does it cost to live in Tunis?
The cost of living and pice of houses is much cheaper and I always feel very safe here.Neighbours keep an eye out for you if you are foreign and make sure you know where to shop etc.Your neighbours will treat you to meals and invite you to all big occasions like weddings etc.
