6 months in Eindhoven, the Netherlands
I decided to do my Erasmus in Eindhoven, Netherlands because it was a city quite in the center of Europe and it would be easy to travel to other places and to learn other languages.
It wasn't my first time abroad but I can assure you that, when I was on the plane, I was wondering why I was leaving my family, friends, work and the Spanish weather to do my Erasmus. After 6 months, I can tell you that it was the best decision I have ever made.
The Eindhoven University of Technology is located in one of the most productive industrial areas in Europe. The teachers are really good and you can work your projects in collaboration with some companies.
The University organised an Introduction Day for the exchange students as well as an Introduction Party for everyone. Thanks to these parties, I met lots of exchange students and we started meeting in the gym (the University has its own gym and it is really cheap), in the parties organised by the different societies (sometimes with free beer) and partying in our homes.
The Exchange Office was really helpful and they also helped us to find a place to stay. I had no problem with the language as everyone there spoke a really good English and there were free courses for the exchange students to learn a bit of Dutch. There are some subjects which are easy to pass (the ones that you only have to do some assignments) but you have to work really hard on them and if you have an exam, prepare yourself to study!
