Chciałam szczerze odradzić wszystkim planującym wymianę w Gruzji studiowanie na Tbiliskim Uniwersytecie Państwowym. Jakość uczelni pozostawia wiele do życzenia, a wymagania zdecydowanie niewspółgrają z ofertą edukacyjną. Poziom znajomości angielskiego wielu wykładowców utrudnia płynną komunikację, ale co najlepsze- kobieta zajmująca się sprawami studentów przebywających na wymianach nie jest w stanie w pełni komunikatywnie porozumiewać się ze studentami ze względu na brak umiejętności językowych! Ponadto jest niechętna do jakiejkolwiek pomocy, przy prośbie o wsparcie reaguje obojętnie, twierdząc, że nie jest w stanie nic zrobić, ani na nic nie ma wpływu. 
Wydawałoby się, że wymagania uczelni w kraju jakim jest Gruzja nie będą zbyt wygórowane. Jak zazwyczaj w przypadku  wymian studenckich, przy niewielkim nakładzie pracy studenci zaliczają wszystkie przedmioty. Jednak nie tutaj. Będąc uczestniczką dwóch kursów prowadzonych przez jedną z bardziej wymagających wykładowczyń (nawiasem mówiąc jej kompetencje oraz sposób prowadzenia wykładów był conajmniej mierny oraz niewypowiedzianie nudny), wykonałam szereg zleconych zadań na rzecz zaliczenia jej przedmiotów. Wkład pracy był nieporównywalnie większy na tle innych zajęć, a mimo to udało mi się nie zaliczyć obu przedmiotów, tracąc przy tym 10 punktów ECTS. Podczas egzaminów końcowych miałam za zadanie napisać aż 6 esejów, o bardzo niewyraźnych poleceniach, trudnych do jednoznacznego zrozumienia. Maksymalna ilość punktów do zdobycia wynosiła 30 z każdego przedmiotu. Po oddaniu 9 stron (łącznie) esejów, już po 2 h od wyjścia z egzaminów otrzymałam bardzo nieuprzejmego maila, pełnego zgrabnie ujętych inwektyw, informującego mnie o tym, że nie zaliczyłam żadnego z egzaminów, otrzymując łącznie (!) 0 punktów. Na moją odpowiedź, jak bardzo jest mi przykro i jak czuje się niesprawiedliwie oceniona (a nie był to pierwszy raz kiedy otrzymałam jedynie szereg negatywnych uwag z jej strony) usłyszałam, że mam problemy z samooceną, która jest daleka od rzeczywistości oraz, że Pani Doktor nie zamierza wymieniać ze mną dalszych wiadomości. Moja sprawa została skierowana do specjalnej komisji mającej ocenić jakość mojej pracy. Prowadząca poinformowała mnie, że zamierza podzielić się również swoimi przemyśleniami na temat mojej pracy oraz komentarzami. Nie otrzymałam również szansy na poprawę. Na prośbę o kontakt do tajemniczej komisji, której skład nie został mi podany, w celu przedstawienia także swojej wersji wydarzeń, usłyszałam iż jest to niemożliwe, ponieważ "są zajęci". Efekt końcowy? Pół roku studiowania można uznać za zmarnowane, ponieważ będę musiała powtarzać semestr w Polsce, na uczelni macierzystej. Wielkie rozczarowanie szczególnie w kontekście słynnej gruzińskiej gościnności oraz bezwarunkowej chęci pomocy. Brak wsparcia i zrozumienia od jakiejkolwiek ze stron oraz wielki absmak. Nie polecam nikomu, przykro to stwierdzić, ale standardy tu panujące, pretendujące do poziomu "europejskiego" niestety jedynie niezgrabnie pozorują tę tendencję. 

I would like to truly revive an exchange at Tbilisi State Univeristy. The quality of the educational offer is far distant from any standard, while the expectations of it are definately inflated. The english level knowledge of many tutors obstructs fluent communication, but the best story is that the chairperson in charge of Erasmus and exchange student issues cannot understand english properly, which makes a proper converstation impossible. Moreover she is unwilling to provide any help and reacts blankly to any problems which might student have. 
You might expect that the expectations at the country as Georgia is would not be too excessive. As usual at the Erasmus exchanges, with a minimal contribution students pass the following subjects. But not in here. I was a participant of two courses conducted at one of the most demanding doctor (by the way her classes were far distant from interesting and high-level) i have done series of gaven tasks to pass the classes. The inpact on it was relatively way bigger than the other subjects but anyway I was not able to pass any of them. With that fact I have lost 10 credits in total. At the final exams I was obligated to write 6 essays althogether with an extremaly blurry instructions, hard to to understood unambigously. Maximum score to reach from each subject raised 30 points. With writing 9 pages, after two hours after going out from the exam i got  a really unfrienly email, full of light-framed invectives which informed me that in fact i got in total (!) 0 points at all of the exams. For my reply where i have expressed my sadness and feeling of being treated unfair with all the negative comments (as it was not the first time getting nothing but negative approach) I got a reply in which i have written that I "have serious problems with self-assessment, which is very distant from realistic." and that she is "not going to have any correspondence with me anymore" (both pasted originally from the email i received). My case was forwarded to some "special" commitee which was going to mark my work. The lecturer also informed me that she is going to share with them her opinion and the exact expectations toward my exams and the whole materials. I did not even get any chance to resit the essays. With my ask for any way to contact this mysterious commitee I have heard that there is no way for me to concact them and explain myself as "they are busy in the moment". The final effect? The whole semester of studying must be repeated back in Poland at my home univeristy. It is a great dissapointment for me, especially considering popular georgian hospitality and eager will for any help. The lack of support and no help from anybody is a really big distaste. I do not reccoment it to anyone, it is sad to state that, but the standards of the place are far distant from the "european" one as they pretend to be and unfortunately they just clumsily fake it.
