Located 121 km from Paris. The reason for its appeal, is due in large part to the time of the Renaissance. The legacy lives on in their appearance, especially in the high concentration of wooden buildings that withstood the weather and wars. The whimsical drawing of the city, and the successive reconstructions and restorations finished forming a town that looks very much like a movie set design. The best time to visit Troyes, is between June and August when the weather becomes peaceful and away from the harsh winter of northern France. Troyes is famous only for its history, its many stores selling clothing at discounted prices, a city that also promotes itself as the capital of the local clothing factory in Europe. The Hotel de Ville, or the Hotel du Lion Noir, work in buildings with several centuries in the heart of the city. In addition there are inns around the city.
