A place for scientists
Though, the city doesn't have a space station, the Cité de l'Espace is a must see place for all science enthusiasts, especially if you loved the Gravity movie :D.
The centre has a collection of space crafts and satelites used by past astronomers, a Planeterium and a Stellarium. New collections and space features are updated annually so it's not enough to visit just for once and be proud. If you're staying at most a year for your erasmus, I recommend visiting at least twice.
As at November, 2014 when I visited, the 140-seat planetarium had been updated to 280 seats to include a place called the Stellarium. But the 300-seat IMAX cinema, which shows the filmHubble 3Dfilms wasn't ready for previous visitors. What makes it more fulfilling is that the film is available in many popular languages!
Inside this educational and fascinating place there's also a cafe, bar and a restaurant which can accomodate all visitors allowed to visit during the day. Since "there's no such thing as free lunch, " each visitor is charged about 20euros in order to enjoy all these features nevertheless it's worth it!
