What is it like to live in Torun? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Torun is a student city in which prices are low. There are many places to spend free time like pubs, clubs or restaurants. There is also a big park where you can rest a little bit. Also you can find two big shopping centers. Toruń is situated close to the river.

What is the student lifestyle like in Torun?

In summer there are a lot of places where you can drink and eat outside. Also you can have fun in clubs, where prices not are very high.

How much does it cost to live in Torun?

Not much. If you live in a dormitory, you pay less than when you rent a room. Total amount of money I spent per month is about 300 euro. It depends on how many times you go out to a club or to eat something outside.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Torun? Is there any advice you can give?

No, it's not difficult. You can find accommodation in a dormitory or in a flat with other students of Erasmus or with Polish people but most Erasmus students choose to live in a dormitory.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The typical food are pierogi (kind of dumplings), pierniki (cake which you can find only here in Poland), żurek (soup).

Is it good to eat out in Torun? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It's good to eat out in Toruń. You have to visit "Pierogarnia" restaurant, "Chleb i wino" (where you can eat real Italian pizza) and there are also Turkish, Spanish, Mexican and Indian restaurants.

It's good to go to the clubs such as "Numer 1", "Stars", "Monaco".
