What is it like to live in Toruń? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Toruń is a very calm, historical place, located on the river. There are many students (over 30 thousand) and places where you can go. This is the city of gingerbread (you can't leave it without trying these products).

What is the student lifestyle like in Toruń?

Student's life is very developed. There are many clubs and bars where you can go and meet someone.

How much does it cost to live in Toruń?

Not really much. Renting the flat is not expensive. You can eat a good dinner for 3 euro. To live here you will need about 200-300 euro for a month. There are three shopping centres.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Toruń? Is there any advice you can give?

Not difficult. If you want to pay less, you can live in the dorm (it is about 100 euros or less).

What is the food like?

Toruń is very famous from the gingerbread. There are many kinds of restaurants, like the traditional Polish food, Chinese, fast foods. Most of the restaurants are located in the Old Town.

What places would you recommend visiting in Toruń?

First, the Old Town. Then, old fortifications, the park (Bydgoski), nice place to have a barbecue.

Is the nightlife good in Toruń? Where is good to go?

Many clubs (NRD, Number One, Stars, Mockba, Arsenał), bars.

What about transport?

The worst thing in Toruń. If you want to go to the Old Town in the night, you have to spend some money for a taxi because of the transport not very developed. Of course, there are trams and buses but very rare (you have to wait).

What advice would you give future students heading to Toruń?

Be active. Take part in the events, go out. If you are Erasmus, join the club for foreigners.
