What is it like to live in Tilburg? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is great to live in Tilburg. There are many students and therefore there are also many great events for students! Furthermore, Tilburg has a safe and good environment.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tilburg?

The student lifestyle is great in Tilburg as the city has a university and many other schools. Many events for students are held. Also, the university has many events for students so there is never a reason to be bored.

How much does it cost to live in Tilburg?

The rent for a room with everything included is usually 300-400 euro. Furthermore, the food in the supermarkets has not very high prices. However, for a meal in a restaurant you usually pay around 20 euro's. One beer costs 2. 20 euro and wine around 2. 50.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tilburg? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not very hard to find accommodation in Tilburg as there are many rooms for students. The best way to find a room is to use a broker or to search on certain Facebook pages so that you can contact other students!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food on the university and in the city is great. There is a wide diversity of the food because of their cultural backgrounds. So do you have Italian, Turkish, Chinese, Greek food, etc. There is also typical dutch food such as potatoes and stew.

What places would you recommend visiting in Tilburg?

I would recommend to visit Stappegoor, which is a nice pool where many students come. Also it would be fun to visit Vidar which is a student club where many parties are held and they love rowing as a sport. Furthermore, Tilburg has many parks in which you can chill and also many museums such as De Pont Museum, Natuurmuseum and TextileMuseum. Also is it nice to go to the canal and to the Duinen, which is a nature reserve.

Is it good to eat out in Tilburg? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

As told before has Tilburg a great diversity of cultural restaurants. Great and cheap restaurants would be Happy Italy, which is a good Italian and Enjoy, which is a nice sushi restaurant which I love. However you can also eat nice at student bars such as Cafe Brandpunt for instance.

Is the nightlife good in Tilburg? Where is good to go?

Yes, the nightlife is great as their are many students! The clubs I prefer are cafe Phillip, The Clochard and The Studio.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tilburg?

Go for it, you will have the best time of your life!
