Why did you choose to go to The Hague, the Netherlands?

Since the beginning of my law degree, people had spoken about The Hague. Given that I am fascinated by international law, I was lucky enough to attend courses at The Hague Academy of International Law in July 2016. The school is a focal point of the Netherlands, particularly for The Hague.

How long did you stay in The Hague? How much funding did you receive?

I stayed there for one month but unfortunately didn't receive any funding.

What is student life like in the Hague?

It's quite a nice atmosphere.

Would you recommend the city and the university of The Hague to other students?

Yes, definitely.

Personally I didn't attend university in the Netherlands but Dutch universities have a very good reputation all over the world.

What is the food like?

It's not bad, there are all sorts of restaurants.

Was is difficult to find accommodation in The Hague?

Yes, it's not easy to find accommodation in the Netherlands. The rent is also quite expensive.

What is the cost of living like in The Hague?

Quite high.

How did you find learning the language? Did you attend any courses organised by the university?

I didn't attend Dutch classes because everyone speaks English there.

What is the best way of getting to The Hague?

By plane.

And for eating out? Where are your favourite places?

Vapiano (very Italian food).
