Erasmus Experience in The Hague, Netherlands by Corina

Why did you choose to go to The Hague, Netherlands?

The great thing about the Hague's location is that it's right in the center of Europe. This can be really helpful to a student who likes to wander here an there, as it's really near to other fascinating cities of Europe.
Also, as I am very interested in the arts, the Netherlands offered me a great deal of interesting museums, festivals, events, etc. The artistic community is really active everywhere you look in this area.

What is the student lifestyle like in The Hague?

throught the years, the international students have created a very united and helpful team which helps every newbie to fit in.They organize all kinds of events (parties, wine nights at the museum,promenades,BBQs,etc.).I think that the Hague offers the perfect combination of being able to relax and focus on your studies, as well as partying hard and meeting new people.

Would you recommend the city and the University of The Hague to other students?

Yes.

Eventhough a delicious cuisine is not part of the best things the Netherlands have to offer you, you may find it easy to adjust to the food culture (french fries with mayo, little crispy waffles with honey and other tasty snacks).
